Omschrijving
CAT5e-kabels bieden een handige en betrouwbare verbinding tussen netwerkapparaten zoals switches, modems of routers, en de bredere infrastructuur via een patchpaneel, keystone jack of wandcontactdoos. Deze kabels worden veel gebruikt in kleine kantoor- en thuisnetwerken en entertainmenttoepassingen. Ze zijn getest tot 100MHz (CAT5e-standaard) en zijn achterwaarts compatibel met CAT5-kabels. Ze zijn voorzien van vergrendelingsbescherming, wat voorkomt dat de connector beschadigd raakt bij installatie in zeer krappe ruimtes.
